Schools/feeder schools-Elementary and high school students in Cairo attend Centura Public Schools, which educates students from Cairo, Boelus, Dannebrog and other nearby communities. Centura Public Schools is located north of Cairo, along Highway 11.

Law enforcement-The Hall County Sheriff's Department handles law enforcement for the village of Cairo.

Parks-There are two city parks in Cairo.

Golf course-Centura Hills Golf Club, 312 Centura Hills Drive.

Swimming pool-Cairo Swimming Pool, 311 W. Syria.

Bowling alley-The Cairo Bowl, 322 S. High St.

Other attractions/events-There are three ballparks in Cairo, named the Red, the White and the Blue. The Cairo Cornstalk Festival, a community celebration that includes a parade, games, car show, road rally, and fun run/walk is held each July. The event began in 2003.
