Other attractions/events-The Nebraska Bird Observatory
at Crane Meadows is an educational facility south of Alda, located
at the Interstate 80 Alda interchange. Daily tours of the sandhill
cranes on the Platte River are conducted there in March and early
April. Husker Harvest Days, the country's largest irrigated, working
ag show, is located three miles northwest of Alda. The three-day show
is held annually in early to mid-September.
