  • Provide a means of spiritual growth and fellowship among participating members.

  • Share mutual concerns with one another as they relate to respective churches and united interests.

  • Coordinate various activities and programs that can be done cooperatively or unitedly in order to bring a stronger witness and Christian service to witness to the total community.

    The membership of the Christian organization comes from the clergy serving churches in Grand Island and the surrounding area, clergy who serve in administrative relationships to their denomination, retired ministers and those serving in other Christian ministries.

    Meetings are held monthly from September to May.

    Ministerial Association officers through September 2006 are:

    Co-chairs -- David Vaughn, Victory Bible Fellowship, and Erin Curtis, First Christian Church

    Secretary -- Onamae Waddel, Trinity United Methodist

    Treasurer -- Tookie Ellison, The Rock

    Directors -- Erin Curtis, First Christian Church; Stephen Warriner, Abundant Life Christian Center; George Wheat, Veterans Affairs Medical Center chaplain
