<div class="storydigest"><MCC STORY>During the summer and fall months, two farmers' markets in Grand Island offer fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as other food products.<P>

A popular farmers' market is located in the shady area west of Ace Hardware, 1704 W. Third. From mid-June through October, the market has an abundance of fresh produce, as well as autumn and holiday decor.<P>

The Ace Hardware market is open early in the morning until late afternoon, seven days a week.<P>

The Downtown Market, located on the block between First and Division streets and Walnut and Wheeler streets, offers fresh fruits, veggies and plants, as well as home-grown meat products, home-baked goodies, crafts and other items.<P>

The downtown market is open Saturdays, from 8 a.m. through 1 p.m. It is open from June through September.<P>

Between them, the two farmers' markets offer almost all vegetables grown in Nebraska, as well as fruits such as peaches, apples, melons, cherries and organic meats and eggs.<P>
