<div class="storydigest"><MCC STORY>Grand Island's Community Help Center, coordinated by Mark Merritt, is designed to assist families and individuals by assessing their situations, pointing them toward other area resources and providing follow-up services.<P>

Services range from finding someone a new home to immigration and naturalization help to emergency services. The center also makes referrals to food pantries and provides assistance to homeless and near-homeless individuals and families.<P>

All services are free.<P>

Sponsored by the Loup City-based Central Nebraska Community Services, the center is located at 2525 W. Lincoln Highway.<P>

The center's hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.<P>
