<div class="storydigest"><MCC STORY>The Central Nebraska Regional Airport, under the leadership of the Hall County Airport Authority, will have completed $48 million in FAA airport improvement projects in the past five years and upcoming two years.<P>

Projects completed and ongoing include a ramp, apron and runway reconstruction. The installation of the Runway Visual Range (RVR) indicator will make Grand Island one of two airports in Nebraska that has this type of precision equipment.<P>

By the year 2007 both major runways and the entire ramp surface will be completely replaced.<P>

The airport will also be the home of a new Army National Guard Chinook Helicopter Base facility slated to begin construction in the spring of 2006.<P>
